I did my taxes 3/23/19 and I still haven’t received my refund yet

Q) Hi my name is John B***** I did my taxes 3/23/19 and I still haven’t received my refund yet it’s been 4 month now I just want to know when I will receive my refund.

A) If you filed your tax return at least eight weeks ago, call the IRS tax refund hotline at 800-829-4477, Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Or, call the 24-hour assistance number at 800-829-1040 and request assistance from the taxpayer advocate.

  1. I have not received my tax refund yet. I filed at the beginning of February. I have been working with the tax advocate service since the beginning of June. They requested additional information from us which has been provided 3x to them since we filed. I have only received phone calls from the advocates twice this entire time. Last I spoke to them was 3weeks ago when they requested a letter in writing from my husbands place of employment which was provided to them immediately. My advocate told me it would take about 2 weeks for them to process it and we would get our refund. I can’t even get my advocate or her supervisor to even return my calls. And I still haven’t received my refund. Please help!!

  1. According to the IRS – Some tax returns take longer to process than others for many reasons, including when a return:

    Includes errors
    Is incomplete
Is affected by identity theft or fraud
Includes a claim filed for an Earned Income Tax Credit or an Additional Child Tax Credit. See Q&A below.
Includes a Form 8379, Injured Spouse Allocation, which could take up to 14 weeks to process
    Needs further review in general
We will contact you by mail when we need more information to process your return. https://www.irs.gov/refunds/tax-season-refund-frequently-asked-questions
