IRS referred to the American Rescue Plan, I have not received payments.

Q) Hi, A letter received from the IRS referred to the American Rescue Plan indicating direct payments. I have not received an direct payments. I’ve not been able to comply with the extensive requirements needed IDme. My previous online account with the IRS is no longer active.
I’d like some time with you to review my identification in person. I can provide passport, driver license, birth certificate and previous tax returns. My primary objective is to enable qualification for the American Rescue Plan and receive the payments.
Can an appointment be arranged?

A) I’m sorry, but I’m not authorized to schedule appointments or review your identification for IRS purposes. However, I can provide you with some general guidance on what to do if you have not received your American Rescue Plan payments and how to get help from the IRS.

If you are eligible for the American Rescue Plan payments and have not received them, you may need to take additional steps to receive them. You can check the status of your payment on the IRS website using the “Get My Payment” tool, which will tell you whether your payment has been issued and the payment method that was used.

If you believe you are eligible for the payment but have not received it, you may need to contact the IRS directly to inquire about your payment status. You can call the IRS Economic Impact Payment Information Line at 800-919-9835 for assistance. The line is available Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. local time.

If you are having trouble verifying your identity using the ID.me system, you may be able to get assistance by contacting the IRS directly. The IRS has a customer service line at 800-829-1040 that can provide additional guidance on how to verify your identity and claim your American Rescue Plan payments.

I hope this information is helpful, and I wish you the best of luck in resolving your issue with the American Rescue Plan payments.
