I am having some trouble finding out why I still haven’t received my 2021 tax refund. I received a notice in August stating the Tax Pro’s office did not claim one of the stimulus payments she was given documentation that I had received. The letter I received in August dated 8/22/2022 showed the refund amount being reduced by 5000, and that there would be an amount of $174 added for interest on my refund that I should receive by 10/22/2022. I have yet to receive anything I was supposed to also receive the remaining half of my child tax credit when I filed for 2021 in the amount of $5,600. I cannot get anyone from the IRS to tell me what the issue is and why they have not released my payment I have been waiting since March of 2022 to receive my return. I was removed from my home with my children as it was no longer deemed safe due to a domestic violence problem. We have been living in people’s living rooms for over a year now because I can’t afford to get into a home/apt and give my children a safe stabile place to live. I work a full time job and have tried to do whatever was requested but I have yet to receive any sort of notification regarding the reason for not releasing, nor when it would be released or if any further steps needed to be taken. I also was made aware that a referral was sent to the person whom is reviewing my return information and requested it be released or notified me of anything further I would need to do in order to complete the review and receive my refund. I’m begging at this point I feel as if I’m just getting a run around at this point and it’s never been an issue with my taxes prior to last year. They received accepted and then nothing… Please help me. I really could use the income to get my little girls, my son and myself into a safe home again. This has traumatized my daughter to the point of anger and she needs stability. Please help us.
