I have a IRS payment plan..can’t afford to pay my plan at this time

Q) I have a payment plan with you I have had my hours cut at work and I can’t afford to pay my plan at this time.I don’t know what to do next.

A) I understand that you are having difficulty making your payments. I want to assure you that we are here to help.

Here are a few things you can do:

  • Contact us to discuss your options. We may be able to work with you to create a new payment plan that fits your budget.
  • Request a deferment or forbearance. A deferment or forbearance will temporarily suspend your payments. This may be a good option if you are expecting a change in your financial situation, such as a new job or a medical emergency.
  • Make a partial payment. If you can only afford to make a partial payment, we encourage you to do so. Any amount you can pay will help to reduce your debt and avoid late fees.
  • Consider a loan consolidation. A loan consolidation may help you to lower your monthly payments. However, it is important to compare interest rates and fees before you choose a loan consolidation company.

We know that unexpected financial challenges can happen. We are here to help you get through this difficult time. Please contact us to discuss your options.
